Stomper McEwan

Round the twist

Stomper’s Poetry

Some things in life can make you very unhappy.  Non-rhyming poetry is one.  To this end, Stomper has endeavoured to harp back to those sunny days of the great romantics and re-establish the meticulous meter, the rigorous rhyme and the artful alliteration of those geniuses.

Needless to say, the whole world does not share Stomper’s viewpoint on this particular occasion.  Poetry now is not about the beauty of language and the hidden suggestion of politics, ethics or beliefs.  It’s entirely in-yer-face and rather vulgar.  For this reason Stomper is at literary war with the poet’s community and only her family appreciate this particular branch of her artistry enough to welcome her into their upcoming anthology of poems.
